Yeah, warmer weather! No more frozen fingers, frozen streets, and frozen pipes! But all you homeowners beware. Sometimes the pipes leading to your outdoor faucets may have frozen and cracked and you don’t find out until you turn the water on for the first time. When you turn the water off and find the puddles in the basement or the crawl space you may have already incurred some damage. So, when you turn your outside faucets on for the first time listen carefully for any sound of spraying inside the wall near where the faucet is attached. Also, watch for any unexplained drop in water pressure, and, look for any evidence of water in the basement or crawl space. Thanks to CleanPro Restoration for the reminder of this hazard. If you do experience damage give them a call and then your insurance agent.
Happy Springtime 🙂
